Christmas ~ Part 1 of 4 ~ Andy's parent's

We started out with Christmas Eve Service at our church, with just our immediate family. Hailey had the option to go into a classroom or sit with us. She was pretty excited to be in the big church service with us and loved the manger sticker/activity book they had for the kids. At the end, we did a little candle light service. Hailey was happy to be a big girl holding her own candle,

that is until some wax dropped on her hand and she let out a cry, but we were so proud of how she composed herself rather quickly afterwards (so I think it was more scared than pain).

After church, we went straight over to Bruce and Cheryl's for Christmas dinner, and the Hensley's met us there as well, after their Christmas Eve Service at their church.

The girls played the piano,

we hung around,
(where's Hailey?)

acted silly,

and we opened some gifts,

played with some gifts,

and appreciated the gifts! I love the expressions captured,

while others were "chainsawed", (there's app for that!) It's a family inside joke that clothes are a chainsaw gift (but really some of us, ME, love them!)... so Andy found an app on the ipad to chainsaw his running pants, the running pants he asked for, (and now you see one of the reasons he got his nick name 'brat boy').

We ate some cookies that Kelly, Hailey and Tegan made earlier in the day (but saved some for Santa!)
and even got to Skype a bit with the Oregon Johnson's. Tegan still refers to Bodie as HER Bodie!

Once we got home, Hailey put out the cookies and milk for Santa.
