Panther Paws!
Both girls already got Panther Paws at school!
Homework time. The girls love doing "homework."
Tegan worked on her "All About Me" poster
I love her confidence, I am a star because... "I Rock". YES, Sweet T, you do Rock!
Her super-cool facts... she is Silly, Cute and Fun. She knows herself well.
Hailey's Homework is to make a list of the the things along with picture reminders of what she can write about during her daily writing time at school.
She did this all by herself (except of course printing the pictures)
I love all the things she chose, and how she included church and Jesus, and her Sunday School teachers, Mrs. Kim and Mr. Mike. She even included her bus driver, Mrs. Cindy, all great people! I love that she already sees relationships and people as important and significant in her life. Of course I love that she included family and Papa too.
Tegan made a picture list too, of more things about her. Mommy helped make her picture collage and printed it out.
She listed her friends and family she too can write about.
and added all the stickers... because, it is fun doing that
under the table.
While at school I saw Hailey's picture of what we did this Summer and she wrote about our trip to Michigan. I love that she wrote about it. She also did a self-portrait and this year wants to be good at painting, reading and math.
Tegan's art. This is her house, her dreams.
Kindergarten is going to rock, just like Tegan!
Tegan is so excited about reading and school, that she loves to read to Ali as she waits for the bus.
She is however, having a wee-bit of problem or two at school... you know, not getting the purple scissors is a big deal!
She is also very cautious in her work, that it may take her a bit longer to get it done.
Tegan is loving Kindergarten, but it has been a little but of adjustment. When she does mess up, she is learning how to handle it and apologize. Thankful for a sweet teacher who knows how to show grace.
Overall, both girls are off to a great start. I am even enjoying being a part of volunteering with their school. I signed up for the after school PASS Club. I will be helping with "wearable art."
This is one of my favorites... the thing Tegan says is special about her is that she and I are twins! I love the picture she drew of me and her,
I love this cute little Kindergartner!
Site Words and 100 Books Challenge
We gave the girls an incentive. If Hailey could read 100 books and if Tegan could learn her site words Daddy would take them to Nashville Shores!
Well, they did it!
I think they had a good time!
Aug 26:
Tegan's lost tooth!
Tegan lost her first tooth on the bus ride home.
Then, she
literally lost it, on the bus! She got off the bus and was so upset that she lost her tooth. She lost it on the bus, then it dropped and she couldn't find it. Her amazing bus driver, Ms. Cindy, said that she would come back around when she was done with her route. I attempted to tell her to not worry about it, I am sure that we could write a note to the tooth fairy and explain, but Ms. Cindy insisted that this first tooth had to be found. She came back and started sweeping the bus as we all looked. She actually found it!!
Thanks Ms. Cindy!!! Tegan was so happy! I was so amazed at how sweet that was of her to do.
Tegan ran upstairs right away and made sure she brushed her tooth really good,
and even laid out her tooth fairy panties.
and placed the tooth in Hailey's box that she let her borrow until we got her one.
She made sure to write a note,
Sweet Dreams, Teagie-Winkle!
The next morning, Tegan and even Hailey, were so excited to see Ms. Cindy and give her notes.
My darling toothless girls!
The tooth fairy actually came 2 nights in a row, because then Hailey lost her 7th tooth! I really don't know how this girl can still eat?
(Although the "Tooth Fairy" also came earlier in the month and tossed, I mean dropped, this little note off to me...)
